Jim Dunlop ne-a parasit

 Jim Dunlop Sr., fondatorul Dunlop Manufacturing a murit. Compania sa este cunoscuta mai ales pentru penele de chitara, formatii precum ZZ Top, Alice in Chains, Tool sau Gun n' Roses folosind penele Dunlop.

Dintr-o mica afacere a reusit sa dezvolte o adevarata industrie penele sale ajungand in mainile celor mai cunoscuti chitaristi. Kirk Hammett de la Metallica chiar a declarat despre penele Dunlop Jazz III:  "...completely changed my guitar style. Completely changed how I play. Completely changed how I pick. This little pick thing was the best thing to happen to my playing."
